Looking for unforgettable Christmas breaks in Scotland or planning a big celebration for New Year 2025/2026? At Highland Hideouts, we offer holiday homes for large groups – perfect for family gatherings, festive getaways, and Hogmanay celebrations. And they are on offer!
Our five spacious ski-lodge-style properties are dotted around the Aviemore area in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Each lodge sleeps 12–23 guests and comes with private hot tubs, firepits, and cosy social spaces where everyone can come together.

New Year Breaks Scotland – Celebrate Hogmanay in Style 🎉
If you’re planning to ring in 2026 somewhere special, we still have limited availability for New Year breaks in Scotland.
New Year (or Hogmanay as we call it!) is a huge event in the Highlands. Gather your friends and family in one of our large holiday homes for a proper celebration. Enjoy long walks in the frosty hills, evenings around the firepit, and countdowns from the comfort of your private hot tub.
We currently have five New Year stays available, but they won’t last long.

Well.. we are CRAZY about Christmas!
In the weeks before the festive period, as the excitement builds, our whole team get involved in decorating the lodges for your special getaway! 🥰 We know what you’re thinking.. you can’t go away on Christmas! How will Santa 🎅 know where to leave all of your presents!? Don’t worry! We write Santa 🎅 a letter to let him know that you’ll be staying with us and sometimes for the very nice guests, he leaves a hamper full of special treats! 🍷
But what about on Christmas? Where will Santa 🎅 leave the presents?
Don’t worry! This isn’t our first rodeo – we have you covered! Every year we put up Christmas trees in all of the lodges. So he’ll know exactly where to leave all of your gifts! 🎁 BUT only if you’ve been good this year!? 👀 And yes! All of the lodges have a chimney for Santa 🎅 to come down! So no need to worry about that!
And of course, while we cannot guarantee snow ⛄, we do keep everything crossed 🤞 hoping that our guests will be able to enjoy the most magical white Christmas at our lodges! 🛷
