Check-in is from 5pm onwards. Please don’t arrive early as you won’t be able to access the property or grounds. If your lodge is ready earlier, we’ll contact you.
Check-out is by 10am sharp. This is essential as we often have same-day changeovers. If our housekeepers are delayed accessing the property, the cleaning company may apply a late check-out fee.
Sometimes, when possible, we can offer early check-in or late check-out for a fee, but this must be arranged prior to arrival.
Unfortunately, we can’t allow anyone to arrive early, even for set-up. If you’d like to be the first to arrive, we recommend you plan for 5pm and ask the rest of your group to join later. If early check-in becomes available, we’ll contact you.

The security deposit is a bond held on your chosen payment method, on the understanding that you will take care of and cause no damage to the property during your stay. The money is not actually taken out of your account but held by your provider as a pending transaction. Providing there has been no damage and you have left the lodge as you found it, the bond will be released within 10 days after your stay.
If, in the unfortunate event, that there is damage to the lodge or any of the contents we can claim up to the amount of the security deposit or higher if deemed necessary. If the cleaning company advise that any extra cleaning is required after your departure, their additional fee will be deducted from your security deposit. In all cases, we will contact the lead contact beforehand and explain the situation and advise of any deductions required to be taken from your bond.
All our properties are cleaned and serviced between bookings, however, as cleaning time is often limited during busy periods, please do your best to leave the property as you found it. This means replacing furniture and fittings returned to their original positions, removing all food from the cupboards and fridge before you leave, ensuring all dishes are washed and all rubbish and waste is disposed of as advised.
The nearest airport to all our lodges is Inverness Airport which is a roughly an hour’s drive away. There is public transport from the airport, however as most of our lodge locations are rural a further taxi would be required.
Our nearest train station is Aviemore but again taxis would be required from the station.
Local Taxi numbers are
Aviemore Taxi: 01479 811111
Jerrys Taxi: 01479 812000
All our lodges have enclosed gardens suitable for dogs and children, but please remember most lodges have livestock in nearby fields. Please keep dogs within the property boundaries.
Unfortunately, due to our rural locations, there are no takeaways that deliver to lodges. However, we do recommend the following companies who can provide In Lodge Catering:
The Lunch Box Boys can provide lunch, picnics, hampers, whisky tasting, corporate catering and accommodate large events and weddings.
To find out more, please contact the boys directly on 07478 553 334 or info@thelunchboxboys.com
Guests are very welcome to decorate the lodges with birthday banners, balloons etc however please ensure that no stains, marks or holes are left on the walls in the property. We also ask that no confetti is used in the lodges, as this may incur an extra cleaning cost on departure.
Through the summer months we strive to keep our lawn area pristine for our guests therefore any marques, tents or bouncy castles are not permitted as they damage and discolour the grass. Although our properties are very secluded, we still have neighbours at all of our lodges even though you may not be able to visually see them. We please ask that no outside stereo equipment/speakers be setup outside as we need to respect our neighbours.
There are no stairgates in any of our properties.
